Silvus is seeking a Shipping Associate-I to manage outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and paperwork. This role also involves handling inventory, coordinating transportation, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position reports to the Shipping Manager and is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, with a start time of 8:00 am. The location for this role is at Silvus Technologies’ Warehouse in the heart of vibrant Culver City. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for all aspects of outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and accurate preparation of shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders.
- Manage packaging material inventories, ensuring adequate supply for shipping needs.
- Manage the packaging and shipping process of customer orders, as well as the handling of logistics for trade shows.
- Coordinate transportation and carrier services to ensure timely delivery schedules.
- Travel Requirement – 25% of the time to our office locations which include our Headquarters in
Westwood, as well as our offices in San Diego, and Irvine. - Perform other related duties as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience using systems and software like FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
- Experience with shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations.
- Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment, meeting multiple deadlines.
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and possess a clean driving record without traffic violations.
- NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Office environment.
- Travel to other office locations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
COMPENSATION: $23 - $25 / hourly This pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
